A visit to Highfield Discovery Garden

Michael and I took the girls to a cute little park that has lots of very fun things for two little girls to do.

Sarah was very excited to go!

When we arrived, there was a special 'class' on Fossils. They got to examine fossils through a magnifying glass.

One of the highlights of this place is the Giant Treehouse.

There's also this cute little house for having tea parties with friends.

Of course, the bench swing was a favorite.

As were these giant mushrooms with big ladybugs crawling up them.

There's also a little train depot, complete with train whistles the kids can control.

I'm not sure what this giant purple thing is, but it sure made for fun climbing

And these frogs made for good ... something.

Sarah enjoyed petting the prehistoric lizard (gecko?).

All in all, a delightful way to spend a cool November Saturday afternoon!

For grins, here's a picture from just about exactly 3 years ago ... the first time Charlotte and I visited the Highfield Discovery Garden. It's been a favorite place ever since.
