Barrettes!

I don't want to get my hopes up, but Charlotte willingly wore barrettes today. There was a bit of protesting, but upon a bit of reflecting, she became okay with them.

I would LOVE for her to wear barrettes. I am tired of the pony tails.

Puzzle Mania

Charlotte was in a puzzle kind of mood yesterday. All told I think she did 7 puzzles. I had hoped to lay them all out and take a picture, but a certain someone else woke up from her nap and made that impossible. Charlotte puts them together, Sarah takes them apart.

Easter Sunday Sickies

Both Charlotte and Michael have some sinus issues going on. You can see how pale Charlotte looks. They cuddled up for a nap this afternoon.

And just for Mom, here's a picture of my cake. I put Jelly Beans on top.

Easter!

No one in our house seems to like to eat hard-boiled eggs, so I just colored six with Charlotte. She didn't get too much into the coloring. She stood by me whilst I dunked them in the dye. And she counted them. And picked the colors for each egg.

The hunting she enjoyed. Always a stickler though, she had ZERO interest in the plastic eggs that the EB hid. When she came across one of those, she put it back. She only wanted the ones we colored the night before.

I love this look on her face!

The plastic eggs were filled with jelly beans - lots of loudness for a baby girl to shake shake shake.

Her first chocolate Easter bunny. It was a peanut butter and chocolate one. She looks pretty happy, wouldn't you say?

Their Easter baskets just had some trinkets in them. Both girls liked the kaleidescopes. But the big hit was Monster Bowling!

(You can really see how long her bangs are getting....)

Sarah, my mischief maker

First, she steals the Ritz crackers from the pantry and takes off.

Then, she takes the salad spinner out of the cabinet, and uses it to try to reach the stove. She's really one of those 'can't turn your back on her for a second' kids.

Awwww...

Last Friday I left Michael home with the girls while I headed out for an evening of scrapbooking. Sarah was sound asleep when I left. It did not last.

Somehow Michael got her back to sleep, and Charlotte as well. Pretty darn cute.

The resemblance is uncanny

Charlotte donned her Snow White dress and posed just like Snow White. (I didn't tell her to do that, she was just walking around with her hands like that, so I snapped a picture.)

Then my Snow White needed a red ribbon like the other Snow White.

There's bubble baths...

... and then there bubble baths. We don't do bubbles in the bath very often, but last week not only did I put bubbles in, but I turned on the jets. Those were some serious bubbles. More bubbles than water!

Making Faces

Charlotte loves to read Hands Are Not For Hitting. The book shares the reasons people sometimes hit - because the feel sad, angry, jealous or scared. Charlotte has been working on her faces. They are way more cute than anything else.

Angry

Sad

Scared

Jealous (how does one make a jealous face anyway?)

She's also added Surprised, Happy and Laughing to her repertoire.
