Waterslide!

We went to a water park in Mytrle Beach. Sarah and Charlotte loved going down this little kid slide over and over again. It kept them pretty happy.

Charlotte at the Beach

Charlotte the Crasher.

Occasionally we could pull her away to play in the sand or have a snack, but I would say she spent about 90% of her time right at water jumping and crashing.

Sarah at the beach

Sunday morning we went to the beach bright and early. Sarah liked her toys. I think she only went down to the water a time or two.

We all love this picture of Sarah and Grandpa Tom. I think we'll frame it for him.

The first day!

The first day we arrived here in South Carolina, we decided to take the girls to see the ocean/beach. It was after dinner, about 6:30-7:00. Tom suggested we put the girls in their bathing suits, but I said, "Nah, we're not going to get IN the water, just walk on the sand and look at the ocean."

Oh how wrong I was.

Sarah's not a huge fan of the waves, much preferring the sand a little further back.

Charlotte LOVES the crashing waves. She loves having them crash up against her. It's quite a sight. You never know how a kid is going to react to seeing the beach the first time - well with Charlotte there was NO hesitation. She was up and in and ready to go.

More of what she sees

If you're too close and the flash goes off, it's not pretty...

I cwean up, cwean up

Sarah loves to clean up, therefore she makes lots of messes so she CAN clean up. One of her favorites is to turn over the cat's water dish and say, "Uh oh!!" and then run off for a towel and start "cweaning" up. While it IS cute, it's a little annoying.

Happy 4th Birthday Charlotte

Today we had an awesome birthday party for Charlotte Ann. Tomorrow is her birthday (the 13th!) - she is FOUR!! Oh. My. God! It's hard to believe. It's fitting to have the party today as it was 4 years ago TODAY that I spent in labor (the entire day) before she arrived in the world early the morning of the 13th. :)
