Snow Fun Day

No school today thanks to the snow. It's powdery white and soft, great for sledding but snowmen will have to wait.

The girls travel first-class with their own personal sled dog.

Sarah decided it was a bit too cold for swinging.

We made snow angels (man, my tush is cold now) and threw the snow up in the air for our own personal snow showers.

Sarah wanted to go sledding "one more time, one more time pwease!!!"

Sarah didn't last as long as Charlotte outside and then promptly came inside for a short snooze.

Charlotte, on the other hand, just needed some hot chocolate to warm up.

What the chicks are saying

My girls have been quite hilarious the last few days.

As we're passing a school bus, I say to Charlotte: "Hey, you know next year when you're in Kindergarten you'll be riding the bus to school."

Charlotte: "Can I be in Kindergarten now? Can I plant seeds in my Kindergarden?"

*******************************************************************************

At dinner Sarah, holding out her hand, said: "Daddy, I can has a glass of wine?"

*******************************************************************************

A couple of Charlotte's friends were visiting. Little Jake said to Sarah, "Abracadabra, I make you disappear!"

Sarah began to cry: "Mommmmeeee, Jake made me disapea. I don't want to disapea!!"

*******************************************************************************

In the van recently, the girls were choosing their songs. They each get to pick a song that we listen to. Sarah picked #7 (an Alvin and the Chipmunks rap song). Charlotte wanted to hear #3 ("Bippidy Boppidy Boo") so she began whining about #7 ("No #7, turn it off!!"). Sarah looks at her and says: "Charlotte, be quiet!"

*******************************************************************************

When Charlotte is using my computer at the kitchen table, she refers to the table area as the computer aisle. When I come in the kitchen she tells me, "Don't come to the computer aisle!!" meaning she doesn't want me to tell her it's time to turn the computer off.

Sarah gets a medal

Sarah finished her tumbling class this past week and got her very own medal! She was so excited about going up on the "platform" to get her medal that I had to hold her back to wait her turn.

Tumbling has been a lot of fun for us. We've signed up for the next class and we'll keep at it.

Sarah's first haircut

I wanted Charlotte to get her hair cut today (her bangs are like 4 different lengths thanks to her occasional snip snip with the scissors - she hasn't done any major damage yet - just a snip here and there). Charlotte was not at all interested, but Sarah was so insistent, hollering from the backseat, "I wan get my hair cut, I wan get my hair cut!!!!" So I let her, even though she didn't really need it. She was ecstatic. It was an unplanned trip so no camera, but fortunately I had the camera on my cell phone. "After" pictures tomorrow.

Random pictures from the winter break

Santa put these popcorn thingies in the girls stockings (they were in the $1 bins at Target - Santa does budget stockings). Who knew it was possible to make eating popcorn even MORE fun.

Presents galore - but, of course, the boxes are still the best!

Cinderella watching "Cinderella."

Sarah throwing mud at me on that Warm December day we played in the backyard.

Somebody has a little bedhead!

Sarah wanted to wrap herself up like a present for Mommy.
