Bowling!

We spent the afternoon bowling with Dave, Shelley, Will, Erin and Abby. Or as Charlotte likes to say, "Daveshelleywillerinabby." Like it's all one word.

I'm not sure what she liked more - eating Erin's nachos or bowling.

"There's a lot of bowling balls out here."

Sarah had a great time at the bowling alley too. She really really wanted to get to those and get down the lane.

And she was upset when Uncle Dave and Will held her back.

But she loved loved the air blowing up in her face at the end of the thingy where the bowling balls come up. Check our her hair!

Abby showed great form this afternoon.

She made her Momma proud!

And apparently Charlotte too ... as she clapped her job well done! (And check out Charlotte's cool bowling shoes she's sporting.)

Some things I love about Charlotte...

I love the way she changes the words of songs or books to fit whatever we're doing. Yesterday she was singing (from the Sandra Boynton book), "Stomp your feet! Clap your hands! Everybody ready for go to Target!!"

There's a song from one of the Signing Time! shows that goes, "I can really behave at the office, I can really behave at the restaurant.." etc. Charlotte will sing, "I can really behave at Costco, I can really behave at Kroger." Another Signing Time! song says, "Choo choo, woo woo, here we go, all aboard, let's get on the zoo train." Usually as we're walking out the door Charlotte will change the words and sing, "... let's get on the Van!" There are many more songs she sings throughout the day. She is a non stop singing machine.

I also find it amusing when she tells a story about what we're going to do. I'll say, "Hey are you ready to go shopping with me?" And she'll of course fall over herself in her excitement, but then she'll go on to tell the story. "Once upon a time, Mommy, Sarah and Charlotte decided to go shopping. So they buckled their seatbelts and drove to Target."

She's fun.

Leave the poor cat alone!

You'd be surprised at how often Lewis just keeps coming back for more. And more. The other day he was in the tent. With Charlotte. I was stunned. Lewis does often sleep in the tent, but usually when a small person comes near he bolts.

He is not quite as tolerant of Sarah yet as he is of Charlotte.

I love this series of shots.

Sarah, the climber, is fond of the footstool in the downstairs bathroom. I love how she peeks at herself for a little bit before popping up all the way. It's almost like she's doing a little peek-a-boo with herself in the mirror.
