Last year we bought Charlotte a Big Wheel which we thought certainly Sarah would be tall enough to ride this year. But, alas, no. She's still a shorty. So she got her very own new tricycle and helmet (with cute panda bears on it!). I hated to spring for something new, but Sarah is not the type of child to be content running around while her big sister gets to ride a bike. No, that would never do.
We tooled around the driveway and cul-de-sac a bit on Sunday.
The garage-sale bike we bought for Charlotte last summer is just too small for her. When the neighbor's granddaughter was outside riding her bike last week, Charlotte wanted in earnest her own bike. So we got her a very Big Girl Bike. She rides it SO much better than the one that was too small for her. I guess size does matter. She has a lot of room to grow into it too.

Yes, Dan's bike is also too small. Makes it too hard for them to get momentum when they can't pedal quickly enough.
Dan needs a new bike too.
